Setting up a development environment

IMPORTANT: Fukkireta is not tested on Microsoft Windows and Apple's MacOS. While it may work on those systems, you may also experience issues even in a development environment! It is highly recommended that you use a virtual machine or Windows Subsystem for Linux.

Prerequisites:

• uv: See https://docs.astral.sh/uv/ for more information
• git: Install it from your package manager or https://git-scm.com/. Alternatively download the source code as a zip file (not recommended!!)

Getting the source code

The source code can be downloaded via git (git clone https://git.lethal.horse/16px.eu/fukkireta.git) or as a zip file from here

Running fukkireta

Change your current directory to where you have downloaded the source code, then type these commands:

uv init
uv run python manage.py migrate
DEBUG=true uv run manage.py runserver 8000
